This trip rewarded me fewer photos but more experience. We spent a lot of time on buses planning our next destination. Really fun!

Continuing my exploration of the SEA, this trip brought us to many historical sites in Myanmar dated back to the 11~13th centuries.

Instead of enjoying sunshine on the beaches, we set a higher priority in exploring the tradition and culture of this over-commercialized island.

[April, 2006] Sapa/Hanoi/Halong, Vietnam
The Northern part of Vietnam offers fantastic photography opportunities. Sapa and Halong Bay are among the two best places for visiting. It is also fun to explore Hanoi in the old quarter.

[March, 2006] Siem Reap, Cambodia
A three-day trip to this spectacular world heritage site. Siem Reap, famous for the Angkor Wat, stunned us with both man-made and nature wonders.

Penang and Ipoh are two cities in the northern part of West Malaysia. The best way to explore these two cities are by foot. Many interesting buildings and nice food.

Deepavali is the festival of light. Throughout the world all Hindus celebrate Deepawali with great pomp and enthusiasm. This is the great festival honouring Mother Lakshmi (goddess of wealth).

[October, 2005] Wakeboarding
This is the 2nd HSBC Wakeboard World Cup at Bedok Reservoir. It was reported that the event drew a record 15,000 people over two days, international TV coverage and a local media value over $2.5 million dollars.

As the Chinese Garden's 30th year of celebrating Lantern Festival, this year features the biggest and best show ever! Filled with over 1100 pieces of lanterns, from big to bigger to biggest!

Spent two days in visiting Grand Budda and Mt. Emei, Sichuan China, after our Tibet trip. Some highlights include grand budda, temples, monkeys, and the nice view on Mt. Emei.

The southeastern Tibet is a majestic and mysterious highland area where is not only known for its spectacular landscape, but also has an ancient history and esoteric religious tradition which have made local culture all the more fascinating and awe-inspiring.

[August, 2005] Tibet (4/5) - Horse Race
During the month of August over 10,000 people will cross high passes of more than 4000 m (13123 ft) by foot, horse and jeep to make their way to Nakchu Racecourse, to run their horses, eat, drink and enjoy themselves during the annual horse festival holiday.

[August, 2005] Tibet (3/5) - Journey to Mt. Everest Base Camp
The journey to Mt. Everest Base Camp was an unforgetable experience. Luckily, we had a clear view of the peak in a late afternoon. This is a great itinerary I'd recommend to all avid traveller.

[August, 2005] Tibet (2/5) - Shotun Festival at Drepung and Sera Monasteries
The traditional Shotun festival (Yogurt Festival) marks the coming of spring and a bountiful harvest. The centrepiece of the cultural and religious event is the brief unveiling of a giant portrait of Buddha beside a monastery outside Lhasa.
